DSC_0243Hello ! I’m Meryliza Muabbad and thank you for dropping by my page. You’ve reached the part where I get  to  share some information about myself and why I decided to create this blog.So here it goes…

Work Experience:

I’ve been a part of the BPO industry for the last 7 years and  as a technical support specialist,my  main responsibility was to help clients get back to their businesses  in the shortest amount of time possible while providing good customer experience. I’ve handled inbound and outbound calls, provided  email & chat support, and I also had the chance to handle & manage a small team.It was an interesting yet challenging job. There was a lot of stress involved but I was able to manage it well . Aside from the technical skills I’ve acquired (which include rebooting a server, configuring a router ,to  installing & updating an accounting software like Quickbooks in multiple computers),I’ve listed below  some of the personal & organizational skills I’ve developed over the course of time.

1. Ability to adapt, work, &  multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

2. Follow instructions well and  make a quick decision without supervision.

3. Developed excellent telephone communication skills .

4. Ability to effectively delegate other tasks and responsibilities to team members to meet the company’s expectations.

5. Diplomatically resolve customer complaints.

6. Ability to motivate ,coach ,and lead others in a team environment.

7. Ability to build rapport and trust quickly with work colleagues.

8. Ability to prioritize tasks and workloads in order of importance.

9. Strong decision making and problem solving skills.

10.Ability to manage conflicting interests and identify compromises.

Why do I want to be a VA?

When I first heard about the concept of working from home,I thought to myself “Wow! this is really a wonderful opportunity.I don’t have to commute or dress up just to go to the office.” So,I began researching & gathered as much information as I can find online. Then I found out about a seminar for  people who are interested in becoming a VA and  I immediately signed up for it.Well, I’m really glad I did otherwise I would have been stuck  in the middle and confused of which step to take first.I have to admit though that  initially, I felt really overwhelmed with all the information that I got but when my mentor laid down all the steps for me,then it all became clear. Before setting up this blog,I have zero knowledge of  html, wordpress ,or any blogging site.It was only after watching  several how-to videos on youtube that I’ve started tinkering around wordpress and finally ,it’s done.I’m really happy with the outcome.Setting it up on my own makes me feel proud of myself.Putting the contents on this blog was a whole lot of fun.I get to decide how many widgets to place on my sidebar or  how many tutorials to add on my page. Finally, here are my top 6 reasons why I’d love  to be a  VA.

1. No more commuting to the office at 1a.m or 3a.m. in the morning.

2. I can work from  home .

3. No  dress code required.

4. I can work anywhere as long as I have my laptop  with me and an internet connection.

5. I manage my own schedule.

6.I can spend more time with my parents and treat them every payday 🙂

Why would you want to work with me ?

A business is complex and managing it is no easy task .I also understand that your time is very important so if you feel like you’re overwhelmed with your workload or  if  you feel tired of doing repetitive day to day tasks then it’s time to hire a VA like me.Delegate the daunting office & administrative  tasks to me  and allocate your time to  do the things you love to do.

I’m the type of person who  places great value in taking action and i’m a fast learner. However,if there’s something i don’t know or if I encounter a  technical issue  that I am not familiar with then I’ll  do my own research and dig deep into the subject.I  will go the extra mile to help you get things done the right way.My aim is to help you have more free time , energy, and focus to work strategically so you can  take your business to the next level .After all, your success is my success.
